Mobile softee music at a slow tempo and the slowly turning bitter gourd, are like how my mother used to wheedle me into eating the bitter gourd. She said, “I will buy you an ice cream after this.”

While my mind was filled with the sweet treat from the ice cream truck, I was eating the repelling bitter gourd. This was too paradoxical.

And mum still hasn’t made good on the ice cream.

放慢了的雪糕車音樂加上慢慢轉動的苦瓜，

就像小時候媽媽哄我吃苦瓜說：「食完帶你買雪糕。」

滿腦子想著雪糕車的雪糕，口裡卻吃著討厭的苦瓜，整件事充滿矛盾。

而且媽媽好像至今仍未兌現承諾。
